1909 - Stahle and Parshall
N00°-01 'W between Sections 25 and 26.
Set an iron post 3 ft. long 1 ins. in dia. 26 ins. in the ground, for ¼ sec. cor. marked
on brass cap, S26¼ on W. half and S25 on E. half; dig pits 18x18x12 ins. N. and
S. of post. 3 ft. dist. and raise a mound of earth 3½ ft. base, 1½ foot high W. of
cor. thence.

Found:
A mangled 1 ins. pipe 18 ins. long with brass cap inscribed as shown unset Ely 50 ft.
of N/S improved graded road. No mound of stone or fence post.
Set:
Date of Field Work: 18 January 2003
It appears that original monument was destroyed by road-building. Built mound of
stone in tire casing with monument remains at location of found remains. Due to
high winds and cold, 0°F, postponed remonumentation to another day.
Note measurements on Rowley C.R. when reestablishing.
