The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Inc, a Montana non-profit corporation whose
address is 2291 West Broadway, Missoula, Montana (hereafter called "Granto('), for
and in consideration of Five Hundred Seventy-Five Thousand Dollars ($575,000.00), as
authorized by Section 206 of the Federal Land Policy and Management Act of 1976,
(90 Stat. 2756; 43 U.S.C. 1716 et seq.), hereby grants, bargains, sells, conveys and
warrants title to the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, and its assigns, (hereinafter
called "Grantee"), the following deScribed real estate (su~ace estate only), situated in
Lincoln County, State of Wyoming, hereby releasing and waiving all rights under and by
vi~ue of the homestead exemption laws of the State of Wyoming, to-wit:

EXCEPTING AND RESERVING unto Grantor, its successors and assigns, forever, all
of Grantor's right, title and interest in and to the mineral estate, including, but not limited
to, all minerals, mineral rights, and mineral interests, gravel, scoria, coal, oil, gas and
other hydrocarbons, and hydrothermal, and geothermal rights, without limitation or
reservation of any type or nature, now owned, or hereafter acquired, appurtenant to the
real properly.
The acquiring agency is the Bureau of Land Management, United States Department of
interior.
