RELEASE OF MORTGAGE DEED
KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS, that the State of Wyoming, Wyoming
Business Council formerly known as the Department of Economic Planning and Development,
whose address is 214 W. 15t~ Street, Cheyenne, Wyoming 82002 (Mortgagee), is the owner and
holder of a certain mortgage dated October 29, 1965, executed and delivered by the Smiths Fork
Irrigation District of Lincoln County, Wyoming (Mortgagor) whose address is PO Box 101,
Cokeville, Wyoming 82114, in favor of the mortgage recorded in the records of the office of the
County Clerk and ex-officio Register of Deeds in and for Lincoln County, State of Wyoming, on
November 26, 1965, Instrument No. 391936, Book 72PR, Page 183 covering the real property
described as:
All right of ways, easements and grants of lands appertaining to the Covey Canal
as acquired and owned by mortgagor and as evidenced by the existing physical
works and locations consistent with the adjudications of water fights as approved
and granted for the purpose of conveying water from Smith's Fork by means of a
gravity canal system to those lands under irrigation within the Smith's For
Irrigation District; and all physical works of the said Covey Canal, together with
all the irrigation works and installations appurtenant thereto, ditches, canals, head
gates, structures and any other works which are part of the said conveyance
system, including the works more specifically describe as:

The closed conduit, 54 inches inside diameter, of corrugated metal pipe,
asphalt lined for smooth flow, 3,275 lineal feed, more or less in length,
together with the reinforced concrete inlet and outlet structures and such
appurtenances incidental thereto, in accordance with the plans and
specifications as prepared by John HI. Pfisterer, Civil Engineer,
Kemmerer, Wyoming, said conduit located approximately 4.3 miles from
the intake of said canal on Smith's Fork, and located within and on part
of Tracts Nos. 89 and 93, Township 24 North, Range 119 West of the 6th
P.M., Lincoln County, Wyoming.
The siphon pipeline and appurtenances across Sublette Creek, being a
pan of the Covey Canal, as constructed in accordance with the plans and
specifications prepared by John S. Bereman and Company, Engineering
Consultants, Cody, Wyoming, June, 1960; described as a steel pipe, 36
inches diameter, approximately 1,800 lineal feet in length, along with
reinforced concrete inlet and outlet structures and other appurtenances in
accordance with the certified and accepted plans of completion; said pip
located approximately 10.4 miles from the point of intake of said canal
on Smith's Fork, and on acquired right-of-way lo~:ated on a Part of Tract
No. 50 and Tract No. 51 in Township 24 North, Range 119 West of the
6th P.M., Lincoln County, Wyoming.

Mortgagee does hereby certify that the Mortgage, together with any notes and other obligations
secured thereby, is satisfied, released and discharged, and does hereby release and quitclaim unto
Mortgagor, their respective successors and assigns, all the right, title, and interest which
Mortgagee has by virtue of the mortgage in and to the above described real property and
improvements situate thereon.
